"SPARSH-2011" programme was organized by DCOSWS on 31st March 2011 from 6.30 p.m. at the auditorium of the LTG, Mandi House, New Delhi. On that occasion DCOSWS felicitated five oganisations.

All India Confederation of the Blind (AICB), the sole International voice of the blind. AICB is a premier self-help organisation of the Blind in the country and is affiliated to the World Blind Union It has been awarded the best NGO National Award in the disability sector by the President of India in 2006 . AICB was also awarded a special National Award for its high-speed computerized Braille press which has been adjudged the best Braille press in the country by the Government of India in the year 2009.


Sehyog Training Centre, Faridabad. Sehyog, a training centre for mentally challenged children, offers succour to the sufferers as well as their parents.It is a brainchild of Shri Rajinder Wig, who himself is a parent of a mentally challenged child. Sehyog has been running this school for boys and girls with the help of special educators and a handful of dedicated workers.

Shri Manoj Rastogi, a man with a mission. He is a multifaceted media personailty and a dedicted social activist. He has been actively advocating for the rights of underprivileged children and youth for the last two decaded and had organised many campaigns to spread awareness about their plight. He has also lauched campaigns on "Girl Child Education", "Female feticide", savethegirlchild.com

Bharatiya Navdeep Samiti (BNS), a national level non-Governmental organisation. Its aim is to provide education through Non-Formal Education (NFE)Centres, especially to those children who are non-school going like the street and working children, rag-picking children and special emphasis on girl child education, by ensuring quality education and encouring them for higher retention in at least primary school thus reducing school drop-out rates.

Foundation Against Thalassaemia, Faridabad, The organisation has been working relentlessly for the past 15 years in the field of care towards Thalassaemic patients and organising various blood donation camps, awareness programmes in schools,colleges, radio and television shows. The Foundation has succesfully got the cooperation from all schools of Faridabad in providing free education to all Thallassaemic children of the region.
